Mission Trip Overview

Literacy is the primary focus of Give-A-Book in all that we do. Our Literacy mission teams donate new books to children and also help make & provide sets of books for schools creating small libraries. Most of the schools in Costa Rica and Central America do not have an adequate supply of books. Many have no books at all.  For all missions opportunities that we offer, teams present new books in conjunction with the specific mission. All of our mission trips are an outgrowth of literacy and encourage reading to children.

Mission opportunities offer a unique and fulfilling experience that is truly life changing for all those involved. Not only are you able to witness the results of your donation but a typical mission trip with Give-A-Book, allows you extra time to see a truly beautiful country! Sightseeing options include waterfall gardens, volcano tours, coffee plantation tours, rain-forest tour, marlin fishing, zip line and canopy tours, Latin dancing, souvenir shopping & Pacific and Caribbean beaches to explore... the adventure possibilities are endless! Although mission trips have set days for travel, typically seven to ten days in duration, trips can also be designed around your schedule and that of your friends and family. Mission teams are made up of Humanitarian Service Teams, college and high school student groups - including senior trips, family missions, church groups, Rotary & other civic organizations.  Mission trips have a profound effect on both you and those you are serving.
